Pressing


Compressed air and/or vacuum technology facilitates moulding or impressions
with form and counter-form.

2500 x 1500 x 900 mm

Process

  • The die is pre-heated The material to be moulded is brought to the forming temperature externally in an oven or using radiant heaters on the press After setting the material down onto the die or after reaching the forming temperature, the press bed moves with the die against a press plate and the material is blown or rather drawn into the die with either compressed air or with vacuum force After the cooling phase, the moulded part can be removed

Luminaire covers, machine protection, transport containers, neon signs

Possible materials

Any plastic type: Thermoplastic (Makrolon®, Acrylic, Vivak®)

Benefits

Exactly repeatable moulding

During the moulding process, the specified exterior dimensions can be adhered to with the die

Undercuts can be created in the moulded part

Structures can be incorporated with the use of dies

Disadvantages

Unless they are machining measurements, inside diameters cannot be adhered to
